Deodorants help in keeping bad odor at bay, but they also darken the armpits. It is one of the most common side effects of using deodorants. Nivea and Dove are one of the most popular and affordable deos used by many women. I have also used them both for years and I feel both the deodorants have their pros and cons. Dove leaves a white cast if you apply it on your clothes, which looks bad. But it is gentler on the skin and you can apply it directly. Also, it keeps you odor-free for a long time, even during hot and humid climates.
On the other hand, Nivea deodorants don’t leave any white cast, so you can apply them on clothes as well. Nivea is also gentle on your armpit skin but Dove is gentler. I found Nivea to be a little less effective as compared to Dove during the peak summer season. After a few hours, your armpits start smelling.
The Dove roll-ons are equally good. They keep the armpits dry and odor-free. I have used the Dove Go Fresh ‘Cucumber and Green Tea’ and ‘Grapefruit and Lemongrass’ fragrances, and they are pleasant. The subtle fragrance will linger all day round.
Do let me know your favorite deodorant brand and your experience with the same.
Thanks for sharing this review. I wanted to order for my sister. She is in school. I think rollon is a good choice for her. I will order it.
Yes, roll-on should be fine for her. Dove is a reliable brand and I am sure suitable for the sensitive skin of young girls.
I and my hubby both use deodorant spray on clothes instead of directly on skin.
It is the safest we think. I know it is little difficult to apply roll on deodorants on clothes. But you can always use the sprays if skin contact is an issue.
Nivea roll on seems much longer lasting than Dove in my experience. Smell-wise both were equally good.
