I’m currently on a weight loss journey and looking to add a protein supplement to my diet, but I’ve never used one before. Since I’m a bit overweight, I want something that will support fat loss while helping me maintain or build muscle.
There are so many brands and types of protein powders like whey, soy, casein, and even plant-based options. I’ve heard that whey protein isolate might be a good choice since it’s low in fat and carbs, but I’m not sure if that’s the best option for someone who is also trying to lose weight.
I am also thinking about the balance of taste, digestion, and satiety—I want something that doesn’t taste terrible, isn’t too heavy on the stomach, and can keep me feeling full.
Has anyone here tried protein powders for weight loss? What worked best for you in terms of flavors, digestion, and effectiveness? Also, how do you incorporate it into your daily routine without feeling like you’re overeating?
Any preferences on whether to go for brands like Optimum Nutrition (ON), MyProtein, MuscleBlaze, or a completely different one? Would love to hear your thoughts before I make a decision!
