We Bought Samsung Curd Maestro Refrigerator In April 2023. Here’s My Experience Till Now

We really wanted to buy a new refrigerator because we had a small 150L Whirlpool Fridge which had been working since 2008. But our family grew and we had been facing issues with space, so we decided to go for a new refrigerator. After 15 years of using Whirlpool Refrigerator, I can say that their service was excellent. Even today, it works perfectly, but we wanted a bigger size so decided to go for Samsung Curd Maestro. I looked at several Samsung’s Curd Maestro Double Door fridges in different sizes, I think they start from 224 liters up to 376 liters. After looking at them all, I realized they all come with pretty much the same features. We bought the RT28C3522S8/HL model number in the silver color of 224 L capacity.

The best things about the Fridge:

The 224L capacity is just perfect for our small Indian family, with four people. It fits snugly into our typical kitchen, making the best use of space. What’s really impressive is how well it keeps things cool – it’s right up there with the best. And it’s super efficient too, thanks to the digital inverter technology. No noisy disturbances, and it plays nicely with our home inverter.

One thing I really appreciate is that it can handle voltage fluctuations without a stabilizer, from 100 to 300V. Plus, the fridge-to-freezer ratio is spot on with 76% for fresh food. But what truly sets my mind at ease is that amazing 20-year warranty on the digital inverter compressor. It’s like having a long-term peace of mind for our kitchen appliance.

The things I am disappointed with:

I’ve noticed that the Curd Maestro feature eats up quite a bit of space inside the fridge, which can be a bit frustrating. And when it comes to the fridge door, I wish it was organized a bit better; it can get a little messy in there. I really miss having a chill tray – it’s a noticeable absence. Lastly, it’s a shame that it doesn’t offer the 5-in-1 convertibility like some of the other Samsung double-door models.

Cooling Performance:

Our Samsung Double Door Curd Maestro fridge really impresses when it comes to cooling – all thanks to its top-notch digital inverter compressor. What’s great about this technology is that it not only keeps things chilly but also does so while being power-efficient.

We’ve been storing milk, veggies, and fruits, and it’s done an excellent job. The milk stays fresh, even up to two days past its expiry date. Plus, everything else we’ve stored in there has stayed fresh for longer too, as long as we make sure those doors are properly closed. The best part is you can fine-tune the cooling in both the fridge and freezer compartments using the regulator. And when it comes to making ice, this fridge doesn’t waste any time – it’s quick! Even ice cream, when stashed in the freezer, stays solid and fresh for hours on end.

Storage:

Our Samsung fridge has a total capacity of 224 liters, with 171 liters for the fridge and a 53-liter freezer box. What’s really cool about it is the 2-in-1 convertibility feature, which means you can turn the freezer into an extra fridge when needed.

But I’ve noticed that some other models in the Curd Maestro series go a step further with 5-in-1 convertibility, offering even more customization options.

Internal Arrangement:

Samsung double-door refrigerator, the interior features have impressed me as the exterior. I love the toughened glass shelves that you can adjust to fit your storage needs perfectly. One standout feature is the Moist Fresh Zone, which lets you control humidity to keep your food fresh for longer periods. The vegetable box is roomy enough to store plenty of fruits and veggies, and it even has separate slots for eggs.

However, I must say, the Curd Maestro, while useful, takes up quite a bit of space in the fridge compartment. On the bright side, there’s a movable ice maker in the freezer section, and the freezer door can easily hold things like juice cartons and bottles.

Final thoughts:

In my personal experience, I’ve found that this Samsung fridge truly stands out when it comes to performance. I’ve been quite impressed with the features, especially with its digital inverter, frost-free design, compatibility with home inverters, and the convenience of stabilizer-free operations. I really appreciate how our Samsung fridge is in sync with our home inverter, guaranteeing round-the-clock cooling to keep our food fresh and cool. What’s even more convenient is that it operates without the need for an external stabilizer, handling voltage fluctuations seamlessly in the wide range of 100V to 300V. So, we don’t have to worry about power interruptions affecting the compressor’s performance.

However, it’s worth noting that this particular refrigerator model doesn’t have much convertibility feature, which some other models offer. While the overall performance is excellent, I personally found that the Curd Maestro feature is a bit overrated.

  1. Hey, your detailed review is quite helpful. I am planning to get a new refrigerator for my home and really confused between the brands. I have heard of Samsung and Whirlpool fridges to be better than others but again it’s tough to choose the particular model. I am definitely going to explore this model to see if it meets our needs and specifications.

    1. My experience has been amazing with Samsung and Whirlpool both. Whirlpool was the older one and it lasted very long without much issues. Samsung is fairly new but till now, we have been satisfied especially with cooling and frosting capabilities. Definitely not great at making Curd despite being Curd Mastero, but a great refridgerator indeed.
