Should I Trust Jivo Wellness for Soybean and Rice Bran Oils This Diwali?

I have been noticing a significant rise in cooking oil prices over the past few weeks, especially for soybean and rice bran oils. Currently, a 15 liter pack of soybean oil is costing around ₹2,050, and rice bran oil from brands like Fortune and Saffola is priced at ₹3,100 in our local kirana shops, which usually provide decent rates. With Diwali just around the corner and knowing we will be making a lot of fried items at home, I am searching for a more affordable but reliable option for cooking oils.

Jivo Wellness Oil: While browsing Amazon and Flipkart to get deals on cooking oils, I came across Jivo Wellness, which offers 5-liter packs of soybean oil priced at ₹689 and rice bran oil for ₹699. This brings the total to roughly ₹2,000 for 15 liters of soybean oil and ₹2,100 for 15 liters of rice bran oil. Compared to Fortune and Saffola, Jivo Wellness oils are significantly cheaper. However, I have never used their products before, so I am unsure about the quality.

Online Prices and Availability

Interestingly, I found that Jivo Wellness oils are sold on major platforms like Amazon, Jio Mart, and Flipkart, but the prices are higher by ₹200-250 per 5-liter pack compared to their website. On Jivo’s official website, they are offering better deals, but they don’t provide a cash on delivery option, which makes me a bit hesitant to purchase directly from them.

My Concerns

Since I’ve never tried Jivo oils before, I am wondering about a few things:

  • How does the quality of Jivo oils compare to Fortune and Saffola?
  • Has anyone used Jivo soybean or rice bran oils for deep frying?
  • Are the oils fresh and light, or do they tend to feel heavier compared to more premium brands?
  • Is the price difference worth it? With prices being much lower, is there any compromise in terms of health benefits or taste?

If anyone has experience with Jivo Wellness oils, especially the soybean and rice bran variants, please let me know. I am looking to stock up for the festive season but want to make sure I am not compromising on quality while trying to save money. Also, has anyone faced issues with online orders from their website, or should I just stick to Amazon or Flipkart despite the higher prices?

Looking forward to your suggestions!
