My Experience and Guide For Building A Personal Gaming Computer Around 50K

Hello guys, before I start talking about building a PC, I would say that it has been an amazing experience to build one for myself. I learned a lot of things and stuff like YouTube videos and guides have been very helpful. So I decided to gather all my knowledge and experience in one place if you want to build a PC.

Before building a PC, you need to know the purpose of what you will be using it for. The build that I will show you is for someone who likes to do gaming or is a content creator like myself, which means you use software like Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects for video editing. If you are also looking for a PC for such a purpose, then this build is perfect and everything will run smoothly.

Now, about parts, I have searched a lot about the parts required and their configuration so you don’t need to worry. The things you will need are CPU Cabinet, RAM, Hard Disk Drive (HDD), Solid State Drive (SSD), Processor, Graphics Card, Power Supply, and of course, Motherboard.

Cabinet : You can spend as much money as you like on this. It depends on how stylish you want your CPU to look. Personally, I would suggest you to not spend more than Rs. 3500 because it will only be a waste of money. I personally used the Ant Esports ICE-130AG Computer Case, which cost me around Rs. 2700.

RAM: This is very important as you all must know. You can go for 8GB RAM, but I would suggest you to spend a little more and get 16GB RAM. This will make processing smooth and without lag. I am using Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB RAM. It will cost around Rs. 3100. If you want to buy 8GB RAM of the same brand, then it is Rs. 1850.

Now, when it comes to storage space, you have two options. Either buy a Hard Disk or an SSD. But 1TB SSD alone is very expensive and HDD alone is slow. My suggestion would be to buy both. It will save you money and give you more space. I will tell you how.

Hard Disk: You can buy 1TB HDD, which you can use to store videos, photos, and other normal files. There are two good brands, Seagate and Western Digital (WD). I chose Seagate BarraCuda 1 TB Internal Hard Drive for my PC, it cost me around Rs. 4000, and it is 300-400 Rs more expensive than WD. So it depends on you what you want to buy.

SSD: There are two options here, 256 GB or 500 GB. SSD is perfect to install operating systems and software for graphics design and video editing. It will do faster processing. I would suggest you to buy the WD 256 GB SSD for Rs. 1300 because it is sufficient.

Power Supply: For this PC, you can choose 500 Watt supply, but I looked at cost and everything, I think 600 Watt is more budget-friendly. I bought the Ant Esports VS600L 600 Watt. It cost around Rs. 2300.

Graphics Card: This is a very important part of the PC. It is a costly part so don’t go overboard in terms of GB. I am using a 4GB graphics card and it runs the PC fast and is perfect for gaming and video editing. I bought the GIGABYTE Nvidia GeForce ® GTX 1650 4GB Graphics Card for Rs. 14,000.

Motherboard: Another important item because all the other parts will get plugged in this. Don’t think too much and buy MSI PRO H610M-E DDR4 Motherboard. It will support the latest processor. I bought this for Rs. 7500.

CPU: The final and crucial component of your PC, the processor or CPU. I had two choices: AMD or Intel. I have used Intel PC and laptop my whole life so I trust it more. But I won’t say that AMD processors are not good, but I have experience with Intel so I would suggest the same. I bought the Intel Core i5-12400 12th Gen Desktop Processor for Rs. 14200.

More advice: If you are building the PC on your own, you can check some videos:

For Basics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhX0fOUYd8Q&t=441s

For Cable Management:

I watched these videos and they helped me a lot. You also need to keep manuals close to you. They are very helpful.

Note: Some parts require power to install so don’t worry that you will break it. I was also worried about breaking parts, but they need it.

After I built my PC, it started in first attempt, but if this doesn’t happen with you, don’t worry, mostly the cables’ loose connection is the issue.

If you need any more help or suggestions or want to build a lower or higher price PC, let me know. I will create a guide for that too.
