Are Biotin gummies good for hair and skin?

We all know the importance of biotin for good hair, nails, and skin and how a lack of it can wreak havoc on your hair and skin health. While earlier, we had biotin pills and multivitamins for meeting our daily requirements, gummies are now taking over the market. We can see several brands selling their biotin gummies, claiming to boost your hair growth, improve the skin, and strengthen the nails.

I was skeptical about using them, but I am not going to lie about how tempted I was to try them. Who doesn’t want to improve their hair and skin health? I bought gummies from Be Bodywise and tried them for a week. Before I could witness the positive results, I started getting breakouts one after the other. I stopped taking the gummies and never had them ever!

I consulted a dermatologist and got to know that most gummies have some sugar content, which causes the breakouts. I am yet to find a gummy or supplement without sugar and scared to try any other brand. Don’t want to mess with my skin anymore.

How has your experience been with the Biotin gummies? If you know of any good brands, do share them here.

  1. Almost every gummy brand promotes their products as some sort of heavenly item that will improve skin and body health but I never trust them. Most of the reviews are seeded or paid. I don’t think anything can work like magic. I have worked in this industry so I can tell that most of the claims are based of research performed on 10-15 individuals. These companies just exploit that.

    1. I think you are right. Their research lacks depth, and their claims lack authenticity. It is better to improve our diet and add supplements suggested by the doctors than rely on gummies for our nutritional deficiencies. The influencers and celebrities engage in paid promotions without verifying the efficacy of the products, which can be misleading.
