I have purchased a Godrej almirah from a local dealer. The almirah walls are very thin metal and shake and create noise when opening or closing. Compared to this, we have a very heavy almirah from Godrej that was bought more than 20 years back. The metal seems solid and heavy like a mountain.
Has the quality gone down? Any good alternatives?
Godrej still sells the best Almirahs. We have realtively heavy ones from Godrej Interio purchased in recent years.
They also had light weight almirahs available.
The sound ces from all our almirahs but.
Not true any more. Nilkamal Furnitures now sell nice almirahs/wardrobes with home delivery. I have had experienced their delivery process. It was great experience compared to local shop guys.
Delivery is free in most cities and towns. For smaller places they charge extra for delivery.
Godrej is the king for metal almirahs. Do not even think of other brands. Godrej has good heavy almirahs but that is obviously costly. They aslse sell thin gauge almirahs, i.e. almirah with thin sheet metal. You can ask for “what’s the gauge”.
I think it is not monopoly with Godrej. They really have made a name for themselves by selling good quality almirahs and I have always been there fan. There are several other brands that you can look like Neelkamal but I personally prefer Godrej. We have 3 almirahs of Godrej at home, excellent condition after 10 years. You can buy them too.
Godrej almirah will always be the best. But you should buy it from an authorized dealers. otherwise you may end up buying “GORDREJ” almirahs, which are produced to deceive you. You should check the logo, deeply to understand.
Godrej is still one of the best Almirah brands in the market. Maybe you should try buying from an authentic seller.
