How was your Flipkart product return experience?

I think Flipkart product return experience has gone worse. Earlier returns were acknowledged immediately and picked up next day or so. Now a days, if you want item returned, it gets stuck in “approval” state for some time and then pickup takes forever. I had a pathetic experience when I was waiting for a return before I could order a similar item from another place. It may be just me?

  1. Nothing special about returns with Flipkart. Only problem is Flipkart customer support chat is extremely bad. I was not able to get help on fake product received because product was mentioned as non-returnable. On Amazon, it is relatively easier to reach customer service and raise an issue even if the product is not returnable.

  2. I was not able to raise an exchange request for bluetooth earphones bought during flipkart big billion days. Got one call from their support person and she asked me to check some nasic things. Then said it is working as expected. Can not be returned.

  3. I also had a pathetic experience with Flipkart when I ordered my products. they do not deliver in time and also they charge a lot of delivery charges with no cash on delivery. I usually bought my things from Amazon and other websites. I guess the experience with Flipkart is not at all customer friendly.

  4. I have returned many products on flipkart. All the time return was picked up. But many times they come very late. Some times it takes more than 15 days. Same thing is happening with me for Amazon shopping also.

    1. I have both good and bad (late pickup) experience. Usually in cities, pickup is done very quick even same day or next day. In village and small places, they do not come to pickup daily. Hence the delay. But Flipkart team always approved my return request. No problem there.

  5. I had a bad experience on Flipkart grocery product return today. I had ordered VIM Dish Wash Gel and Flipkart cunningly delivered a Flipkart brand dishwash gel whoch looks very similar. So, I did not notice.

    Later when I noticed after the delivery, I tried to go to the “return” option and selected “wrong item was delivered”. Then it did not allow me to request return and said “this was open box delivery” so the wrong item reason is not valid. I don’t want to spend time fighting for this; so we will try this useless product once.

  6. Flipkart really has the worst return service that I have seen with a eCommerce brand that is so big. Even small businesses do a better job at taking returns. The worst part is that they accept the return request but never show up on time and keep on delaying again and again until one day it will stop. It has happened to me twice; once I bought a Nike Sweatshirt that was delivered in the wrong size by them and then they never picked it up. It is still lying in my almirah unused. Secondly it happened during my Honor smartphone return. Thankfully they accepted the return after raising 10+ requests and 15+ email complaints. I am just saying that only buy product that you are 100 percent sure will be good from Flipkart because they are really bad at returns.

  7. I am a little surprised hearing about the poor return experiences people have had. I have always had positive experiences with Flipkart returns for several items which include bags, footwear, decor items, etc. Pick-up gets done the next day and the refund is quick. I have received refunds within a few minutes of the return pickup. At the most, I had to wait for a few hours or a day for the refund. Is it possible that their services vary depending on the city and area?
