I have been on the hunt for a good sunscreen for quite some time. Almost everything with good review is for women, so not sure, which one to go for. With oily skin, the wrong sunscreen can leave my face looking greasy, while the ones for dry skin can leave it feeling tight and flaky. So I am having a difficult time finding the right balance especially when most sunscreens either leave a white cast or feel way too heavy for daily use.
I am looking for something that’s lightweight and non-greasy, especially for my oily skin, but also won’t dry out those few patches on my face that tend to get flaky. Ideally, it should offer SPF 55+ since I spend a decent amount of time outside and need good protection from the sun. On top of that, I am starting to notice some pigmentation and dark spots, so it would be great if the sunscreen could address that too. I have heard some good things about Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen. It has SPF 50+ and claims to be non-greasy and water-resistant. A lot of reviews say it doesn’t leave a white cast, but I am not sure how well it will work for someone with combination skin like mine. Another option I’m considering is The Man Company Sunscreen Lotion with SPF 55, which is specifically made for men. It seems like it might be a better fit, but I haven’t heard much about whether it’s good for controlling oil or if it helps with pigmentation.
Then, there’s La Shield Sunscreen Gel SPF 50+ which a friend recommended because it is supposed to be great for oily skin, and it’s fragrance-free, which is a big plus. But I haven’t read much about whether it deals with pigmentation effectively.
I would love to get some recommendations on what’s worked for you. Anyone found a sunscreen that’s good for both oily and dry patches, offers SPF 55+, and helps with pigmentation? And most importantly, doesn’t leave that annoying white cast? Please leave your suggestions.
Neutrogena works best for whoever (guys) I recommended it to. Some said it was a bit too thick, but that’s okay in comparison with other products in the same category.
Hey, thanks. I ordered Neutrogena one yesterday. I am hoping it works because I am facing pigmentation issue as well and Neutrogena one claims that it can help resolve the issue of pigmentation.
Neutrogena does really work for men, dry as well as oily skin types. If it seems too thick for you, may be you are applying too little. Try to apply a bit more generously.
Another important thing: there are a lot of counterfeit (fake) skincare products sold online and offline. Almost all good brands you will find at dirt cheap prices. Those are most likely the fake products and can cause very serious skin problems. Try to buy from a wellknown store or online shopping site, nykaa etc.
