Am I the only one looking to repair my glasses and use the existing frame? I wanted to just replace the lenses as per the new prescription. However, I don’t see any online seller offering lens replacement service.
Interestingly, EyeMyEye website has mentioned about lens replacement service where you can buy just lenses and they will pick up your original frame, fit the new lenses and deliver to you again. But that service is showing “out of stock”. Similarly, Lenskart has a page written about lens replacement service, but no actual service is provided to buy.
What options are there? I can ask my local shops but I am skeptical about the glass quality. They may make big talks about branded lenses and fit some unknown quality lens. Anyone?

I have recently done this at SpecMakers in Bangalore. They were happily accepting the order. Charges were 1300 rupees for single vision lenses without blue filter. Blue filter coating is 500 extra.
It is done in almost all specs stores except Lenskart.
If you an go to a good eye shop and research about some branded glasses, then it can be done in local store too. All you need to ask your local shop vendor is to use Carl Zeiss India glasses. I have been diagnosed with -6.0 in both eyes having myopia. I have been using Carl Zeiss’ glass for 5 years now. They are great in quality and I can find them in local stores too.
