A friend of mine is urgently looking for a 360-degree security camera for his farmhouse, which is around 50×50 sq ft. Recently, he’s had issues with theft people have been sneaking onto his property and stealing smaller items like tube lights and chairs from the lawn area. Because of this, he is considering installing at least two 360-degree cameras to cover all the angles and ensure every part of the area is monitored. He’s not interested in regular cameras as he feels they might leave blind spots. So, he is specifically looking for 360-degree options. His main requirements are that the cameras must have at least 720p resolution to ensure good clarity and also offer decent storage capacity for recordings, preferably with cloud backup or a large memory card option.
Does anyone have recommendations for the best 360-degree cameras for this type of setup? I am wondering if brands like Mi, TP-Link, or EZVIZ would be a good fit, as I have seen some decent reviews online for their 360-degree models. What about the battery life, motion detection features, and night vision? These are important, especially for farmhouses where power cuts can happen or the areas aren’t well lit.
Also, since this is a large space, does anyone have advice on positioning the cameras to maximize coverage with just two units? Any insights into installation ease would be great too. We want to make sure he can secure his place as soon as possible.
