My family has been buying a lots of products recently through online purchase. The situation has become so good that even if you don’t have a tooth brush and you realize it in the very early morning, any one of the delivery apps are ready take order and deliver too.
This is about one such incident where I became a victim and every one else became Heros..
One fine morning I was half asleep and half awake and my wife told me to get the delivery at doorstep. I was a little surprised and scary that I have over slept in the afternoon. Because it was so dark and I literally felt very drowsy too. Still, I some how crawled out of the bed and went and opened the front door, and there he was, the delivery guy, standing with his eyes wide open (possibly he is angry at me that I am just coming of the bed and he is not!!) with a brown paper bag in his hand. I collected and turned back, and i could hear he saying, “sir, please give ‘5’ rating. I nodded my head mechanically and went inside.
I kept the brown bag on the dining table near the kitchen. Then i remembered I did not lock the main door so went to lock. I was totally shocked to see the big eyes and a man standing on the door again. I was almost taken aback and came to full life. My sleep totally shattered and it gave me grinchy goosebumps to see this figure. I fully opened my eyes and with full fear I asked the figure who are you?
He said, “Sir, i am waiting for Cash…..Rs.525/-
Oh My God. I had heard it as give me 5 rating…..
Then when I turned to check with my wife, again I saw some figure behind me…..oooohhhh…
Luckily it was my wife, holding the cash to be given to the delivery guy.
I could hear my wife murmuring, “he knows nothing. everything has to be done by me….”
with still frozen, frightened eyes, I started moving to reclaim my dreams of my sleep.
On my way to the Bedroom, my Mom was standing, inquiringly…..
With all the drowsy eyes, I enquired…..
She started saying…..”…….on Friday morning…..your wife is giving out money…..”
I ran towards my bed and put my face down the pillow.
Does it happen only to me?????

I get deliveries scheduled for 5AM or 7AM and I feel pity when I open the door with sleepy eyes and the delivery person has already started the work day. Along with enjoying home deliveries, we are enjoying extended hours of sleep. Should be grateful.
Now the fun part, I heard comments about not letting money ho out of the house on Thursdays (Goddess Lakshmi’s day of the week). What is it about Fridays??

By the way, I know an organization, where they will not release the pending salary of person on tuesdays and Fridays.
This auspicious time of not giving out money will happen any day when money is in shortage at hand. Ha ha ha…
Just for your information, waking up at 5am is considered good and healthy.
In my native place, if you wake up after sunrise, everyone will start talking nad about you.
I’ve also experienced the same with Flipkart Grocery, they deliver the product way too early in morning. twice they came to deliver product at around 6 am. my mother loved it but not me. and this was after selecting delivery time from 7 am to 10 am slot. These guys deliver according to their convenience.
I have had a few deliveries from Amazon around 8.30 -9 AM, and at times, it can be annoying especially when you are fast asleep and your family members have to receive the parcels this early in the morning!
