Nourish Mantra Divya Body Oil Review & Experience

Every winter, I’ve experienced the same discomfort with dry, flaky skin, especially on my legs and feet. If you can relate, you understand the ongoing battle of trying to keep your skin soft and hydrated in the cold season. That’s why I was genuinely thrilled to try out the Divya Body Oil by Nourish Mantra, and I must say, the results have been quite unexpected.

I’ve found that it effectively moisturizes and softens dry skin, leaving it feeling supple and rejuvenated. Additionally, it works wonders in enhancing skin elasticity, giving my skin a more good appearance. Not to mention, the revitalizing scent helps combat fatigue and keeps you feeling refreshed.

About Body Oils:

I used to believe that applying oil to my skin would inevitably lead to that unwanted, greasy feeling – especially after experiencing Panchakarma treatments. However, things have changed. Today’s body oils are a game-changer; they’re lightweight and absorb quickly, allowing you to slip into your leggings without delay. The best body oils not only leave your skin feeling soft and radiant but also provide deep moisturization and fortify the skin barrier. While many people turn to body lotions to combat dryness, which is effective in hydrating and healing, using body oils takes these benefits up a notch by sealing in the product and visibly improving the look and feel of your skin.

My experience of Nourish Body oil:

The oil has a slightly thicker consistency, so I find that I need a bit more to cover larger areas. It takes a minute or so to start sinking in, but I don’t mind waiting for it to fully absorb because I love the subtle shine it leaves on my skin. Over time, it completely melds into the skin, leaving a lovely sheen and a hint of silkiness that lingers for hours. My skin stays moisturized for an extended period, which is especially noticeable during the winter months as it prevents any tightness or flaking right from the first use. The herbal scent, dominated by cinnamon, in this Ayurvedic body oil is unique in a world filled with vanilla and fruity fragrances. If you prefer sweeter scents, it might not be your cup of tea, but the absence of synthetic fragrances is a definite plus. Personally, while my nose doesn’t exactly love this scent, my mind experiences a sense of relaxation after using it.

I also want to highlight the brand’s new packaging and branding, which I absolutely adore. Their plastic neutral certification is a significant achievement, especially for an Indian brand. I’ve had the chance to try various products from Nourish Mantra, and I must say they consistently offer some fantastic options.

How I Use the Oil:

On the days when I have the time, I kick off my routine with some gentle dry brushing, followed by a relaxed massage using this oil. I prefer to slightly warm the body oil, adding to the soothing experience.

However, when I’m in a hurry, I choose one of these two methods:

– If I’m solely using the body oil, I apply it while my skin is still slightly damp after a shower. This helps lock in moisture effectively.

– When I’m pairing it with a lotion or cream, I use the body oil as the final step in my routine to seal in all the moisture from the other products. It’s a quick and effective way to stay hydrated on busy days.

Final thoughts:

In my experience, this body oil performs quite well and lives up to its claims, making it suitable for most skin types. It’s particularly ideal for those with dry to very dry skin, making it a year-round staple. However, individuals with oily to normal skin may want to limit its use to cold and dry winter weather to avoid any excess oiliness. I often find myself short on time for rituals like using hair and body oils, but when I do make the effort, I expect the product to make a noticeable difference. This body oil not only meets but exceeds my expectations. It keeps my skin silky-smooth and glowing, especially during the winter months. Although it took some getting used to, the cinnamon fragrance adds a unique touch. I do find the consistency a bit heavy during the summer, so I hope the brand considers launching a dry-oil version more suited fort the warmer months.

  1. I was always skeptical about using body oils as I prefer body lotions any day. I felt oils would be too sticky for the skin, and body lotions does a good job with skin moisturizing and nourishment. I think after reading your review, I would definitely try it as winter is almost here.

    1. Yeah, I also used to think oil would be sticky and not look good. But once I used it, my experience and love for them has grown. The scent and the moisture they provide is amazing. A lot of good brands are available in the market and this Nourish Mantra one was really good, even my mother loved it. You can try this or also look at my plum body Oil Review. That’s also a good one.
