My Review & Experience of Using Nykaa Naturals Amla and Curry Leaves Hair Care Range

I was scrolling through Nykaa and came across their Naturals Amla and Curry Leaves Hair Care range. I was surprised because the products looked promising and despite being launched in March, they had good reviews from customers. The hair care range consist Shampoo, Conditioner and Hair Mask. Nykaa has claimed that the product is paraben-free, cruelty-free, phthalate-free, 100% natural and has no added color.

I have personally known about a lot of benefits of using amla and curry leaves for hair care and nowadays it is tough to find products containing both of these.

Let’s talk about products packaging:

I’ve noticed that Nykaa does an awesome job with their packaging. It always looks so nice. I especially like the pretty pastel green packaging they use for these products. It feels calming. Plus, the plastic containers they use for their Nykaa Naturals Amla and Curry Leaves Haircare Range can be recycled, just like the ones for their Apple Cider Vinegar & Ginger Range.

The shampoo bottle was a bit tricky. It had a push-up nozzle that often got clogged when I tried to use it. While it’s user-friendly, I would have preferred a more regular bottle because getting the shampoo out was a bit of a hassle.

On the other hand, the conditioner in the Nykaa Naturals Amla and Curry Leaves range comes in a big squeeze tube. I actually liked how easy it was to use, and it added a nice touch to my bathroom shelf. Just be cautious while squeezing it, as you might accidentally get too much out.

As for the hair mask, it comes in a simple plastic tub without an extra lid like other hair masks. It’s straightforward to use – you can either use your hands or any spatula you prefer.

My review of Shampoo

I tried the Nykaa Naturals Amla and Curry Leaves Shampoo, and it was a great experience. It gently cleaned my scalp, just like the Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo from Nykaa. After using it, my hair felt really smooth and easy to manage. Surprisingly, I could even skip using conditioner, and my hair still didn’t dry out.

What I noticed is that this shampoo lathers up a lot, and it made my hair look fuller and voluminous. My hair is naturally straight, and in humid weather, it tends to get weighed down if my scalp isn’t clean. But this shampoo did the trick – it removed all the oil and dirt in just one wash.

If you’re someone who loves applying a lot of oil to your hair, you might need to wash your hair twice to get it completely clean. In my opinion, this shampoo is a hit.

My review of the conditioner

After trying out the Nykaa Naturals Amla and Curry Leaves Conditioner, I noticed that it’s packed with hydrating stuff like Glycerine, Shea Butter, and Pro-Vitamin B 5. It really helps breathe life back into damaged hair.

I’d say this conditioner is pretty good. When you use it with the shampoo, it gives your hair a nice dose of nourishment. I like it, but I wouldn’t call it something out of the ordinary.

My review of hair mask:

I have to say, the real star in this Nykaa Naturals lineup is their Hair Mask! It’s priced at Rs. 599 and comes in a 200 ml jar. This hair mask does wonders – it leaves your hair feeling incredibly smooth, silky, and easy to manage.

The brand recommends leaving it on for 10-15 minutes, but I tried leaving it for 30 minutes, and the results were fantastic. I usually apply it to my clean, sectioned hair, making sure to distribute it evenly from my roots to the tips.

In fact, I also shared this hair mask with my mother, who has dry hair with thin ends and a lack of shine. She started using it religiously every week, and we saw a noticeable improvement in her hair’s condition. Plus, she experienced less hair loss. It’s been a game-changer for her hair care routine!

Final thoughts:

I personally loved the shampoo and hair mask from this range. It was a real game-changer for me because I struggle with hair fall, especially when I wash my hair. These products are specifically designed for people dealing with hair fall issues, and they did help reduce my hair fall to some extent.

What really stood out to me was how effective the hair mask was in minimizing hair fall and giving my hair a beautiful shine. Compared to other product lines I’ve tried, this one really delivered on its promise.

  1. Thanks for sharing your experience and review of the Nykaa hair care range. It is impressive how Nykaa has grown from an e-commerce portal meeting our cosmetic needs to offering an amazing range of beauty and skincare products.

While I have tried tried few mists and lipsticks from Nykaa, I am yet to try hair and skin care products from them. Considering your positive experience, I am going to explore and try them soon.

    1. Nykaa has really grown over the years. I also like there overall strategy of creating different ingredients based products like turmeric or alo vera. It gives different products for different skin types. The quality and price point of their products is pretty good as well. So I definitely like how well researched products Nykaa is creating. You should definitely give them a try.
