Hi guys, I hope you are well. I am going to share my experience of using two different charcoal face washes from two well-known companies.
I have always loved charcoal-based products and a few months back, I tried WOW Charcoal Face Wash. Recently, I also bought Mama Earth Charcoal Face Wash. I was really surprised to notice the difference and quality of both products. I have used several charcoal products.
My Experience of Mama Earth Charcoal Face Wash
I have been using this for 2 weeks now. And I can say that it is the best charcoal based Face Wash I have tried till now. The company claims that it is for all types of skin. I have an oily and sensitive skin type and this face wash removes excess oil very well. But I don’t think it will be good for someone who has a dry skin type because it completely takes away the oil from the skin. If you have a dry skin type, then you will need to use moisturizer after washing your face.
The product has good consistency, but I think it is reasonably priced. It cost me Rs. 249 for 100 ml. The major disappointment is that it doesn’t lather well so I needed to use it extra than other face wash.
Overall, I am very happy with the product.

My Experience of using WOW Charcoal Face Wash:
I really had high hopes for this one when I bought it two months back, but it was disappointing. The texture of the product is very thin and almost every time I used it, I got excess in my palm, which wasted a lot of face wash. As I said before, my skin is oily and sensitive, it actually made my skin a lot drier and itchier. I was having several issues with it. The only thing that I liked about this face wash is cleansing capabilities. The product has an MRP of 240, but I got it for 170 after discount.

Products of mama earth are usually very costly and I do not prefer the products much. I had a bad experience with the mama Earth face pack and then after I decided not to buy any other product from this company. I usually trust the foaming face wash of WOW science and I believe it is one of the most nice product on my skin specifically if I talk about face washes.
I get your point. It is just my personal experience that I didn’t get better results with WOW Facewash. But I haven’t tried Foaming Facewash from WOW. I was just talking about Charcoal Facewash. Mama Earth Charcoal Facewash gave me best results. Thanks for sharing your experience. And yes, I agree Mama Earth is expensive.
I have seen so many influencers and YouTubers promoting Mama Earth products, but mixed reviews from people around me have refrained me from trying them. Personally, the extensive promotional campaigns are a bit turn-off for me. Also, the products are relatively expensive compared to many herbal and natural product brands. The products seem average to me, and the negative reviews further affirm my belief. I am really sceptical about trying products from the brand.

These days almost all companies are using Meta ads and Google ads to over promote their products. I find it nothing new. Almost all influencers get free products to promote them and talk positively. But from my personal experience, a few products of Mama Earth are really good, not all of them. Their Ubtan range is definitely good.
