Can you suggest me something? I am going to be a full time trader in Indian stock market and want to upgrade from my old desktop to a new laptop or tab. What do you suggest?
I feel a touch screen can be good for trading with speed. Any tips from day traders welcome.

I think trading skills and knowledge is more important than the laptop you are using. Almost any decent laptop will be good for traders.
I have personally not seen any difference in my trading efficiency between a smartphone app and the laptop. You can do better chart analysis on Laptops and even bigger dedicated screens.
Get a laptop with at least 8GB of RAM and i5 or later processor. That will be able to handle everything from charts to softwares commonly used by traders. Personally, I don’t suggest buying a Mac because it may prevent you from using some softwares available only on Windows.
Think about buying a normal laptop and a separate monitor to connect to. It will help monitor multiple stock screens.
Especially, in India, most traders I know use very old desktops and laptops and have no problem.
Thanks. I was using my company laptop for some time and that was a small laptop. I think 14 inch screen. I am thinking a small laptop is easy to work with. I can work from anywhere easily.
For trading, viewing charts will be a problem you think?
I would stay away from a touch screen laptop. It is not that practical to use the touch on a laptop due to form factor. In fact, you may eventually forget your laptop has got touch screen.
For the size, unless you will use external monitors most of the time (like a dedicated desk to work from) try to get a laptop with 16 inch screen or so. LG GRAM comes with a 17 inch model and that is ideal for people working in stocks without external monitors. If you have external monitors most of the time, but a 14/13 inch laptop.
Do check the laptop on connectivity options for external monitors. I would suggest ASUS zenbook or Lenovo Yoga series if your budget is 70k+.
I think it would be better to go for a laptop, but don’t go for a touch screen one. A tab is good, but laptop offers much more flexibility and a better overall resource management. It can be used for more than just trading, in case you want to in future and even just for entertainment purpose, laptop is a better option. You can get several business laptop with up to Core i5 or Ryzen 5000 series in around 30-35k. If you need help in any model, let me know, I will help you select the best.
