  1. Now a days, the online purchase is becoming a scam. Where you think you can trust, the products make you not trustable. So my suggestion would be to first buy items of lesser value from the vendor and see. Accordingly you can go for bigger purchase.

However, how to solve the problem, if the vendor for small items give you good product and when you increase the price, he cheats you?

    Do you have any suggestions??

  2. I completely understand your concerns about buying jewelry online. Be cautious, especially when it comes to valuable items like jewelry.

The decision to shop online or in person depends on your comfort level and the trust you have in the brand. If I was in your place, it would be worth starting with a smaller purchase to test the quality and service before making a big one directly.

  3. I was looking for the same and a popular jewellery company had many good-looking designs online. I happened to see their designs in the store and noticed there is a huge difference between the appearance on website and the actual look and feel.

Especially the online photos of jewellery looked nice and thick where as same design and weight was thin and not so goodlooking in the shop.

Online you can see many designs. That is a plus point.

    1. This is usually the experience with online jewellery. Amazon etc are good for imitation jewellery; but I would think twice before ordering something pure gold and costly.

You can check the designs online and go to their store to buy, if possible. I was checking Kalyan Jewellers Candere site. They say 15 days return policy. But they will deduct minimum 10% value and the return process is too difficult. Like, you have to pack it in a specific way, take video of packing etc.

  4. Many people fear buying jewellery online. It is okay to purchase jewellery online if you take a few precautions. Such precautions include:
    1) Check the certifications. Ensure that the seller can give certifications regarding the authenticity of the jewellery pieces.
    2) Check the payment options and scheme for return and refund. You must verify the payment options before you go ahead to buy. Also, check the return policy if the jewellery piece is broken or damaged. Make sure that the seller has a customer-friendly way of refunding.
    3) Check reviews and product descriptions before buying the jewellery. Check the jewellery pieces’ weight, purity and dimensions before buying them. Make sure that you buy only from trustworthy sellers.
If you keep the aforementioned points in mind, you can go ahead and buy jewellery online. However, it solely depends on your comfort zone whether you will buy it from physical stores or online platforms.

  5. Online shopping has caught a wave in the past decade. While earlier we would buy clothes and accessories online, there are brands selling jewelry online. However, when it comes to buying real jewelry online, we can still not trust the sellers easily owing to the scams that happen frequently. Most brands would ask for an advance payment before dispatching the jewelry, and what if you don’t receive the jewelry ever?

However, that doesn’t mean we should refrain from trusting online brands. It is important to keep a few points in mind before you plan to buy a piece of jewelry online.

    a. If this is your first time buying online or dealing with a specific brand, it is important to buy a smaller piece of jewelry first instead of going with an expensive one and putting your money at risk.

    b. Look for their website, address, and contact number to verify the existence of the brand. If it is a genuine brand, it will have a significant online presence, which involves a social media presence as well. If a brand has the presence of several online portals, it can be trusted.

    c. Connect with them on the phone number given on their website. Try to find out more about their business and ask as many queries as you want. After all, you are trusting them with your hard-earned money.

    d. Looking for customer testimonials alone wouldn’t help. If possible, try to connect with those buyers and discuss their buying experience with the brand. Getting first-hand information will help in building trust in the brand.

    e. Ask for certification from the jeweler as it is proof of authentication. If there is no certification, the credibility of the seller is questionable.

    f. Look for the experience and market reputation of the jewelry brand. A genuine and authentic brand will enjoy a great reputation in the market.

Taking these points into consideration can help you decide if the brand is trustworthy or a scam! Do share with us about your shopping experience.
    Happy Shopping! 🙂
