Hair styling has evolved significantly over time. While earlier we only had blow driers and straighteners for styling hair, these days we can find various tools from tongs to curlers, and crimpers. I have been a fan of crimpers for long and tried a few of them in the past 2-3 years.
NOVA
My first crimper was from Nova which turned out to be substandard. The crimping effect did not last longer than 2-3 hours and took a lot of time for styling. The heating effect was not as desired and there were no temperature settings. It was my first time buying a crimper and hence I experimented with an economical brand. The NOVA crimper was available for INR 600.
Sadly, the crimper didn’t last for long. The plastic was so poor that it broke even when it was not in use. I won’t say that I am disappointed as there were hardly any expectations from a cheaply priced product.
VEGA
Vega is a popular brand and hence it was the second brand that I invested in for crimper. It is one of the finest crimping tools that offer desired styling and also adds volume to your hair. I have thin hair the Vega crimper definitely adds volume to my hair. Straight hair doesn’t suit on my thin hair and crimper has changed my life for good. It doesn’t take long to crimp the hair and offers desired effect. However, taking a little time and crimping the hair will offer a uniformly textured look. Hearing positive reviews from her I got tempted to get it for myself. It had good ratings on Amazon as well which further made my decision of buying the Ikonic crimper firm.
It is an affordable crimper which was available for INR 2500 which makes it an affordable choice. It has a wide plate so you can crimp a good section of hair at once. The tool heats up quickly and offers great crimping effect. The design is sleek and easy to handle. It has a tangle free long cord for further convenience. I have been using the crimper for a few months now and I am impressed by how amazing this tool turned out to be. I feel it is a must buy hair styling tool for women. If you like experimenting with your hair and love styling them often, Ikonic crimper is a great choice.
Verdict
Based on my experience, both Vega and Ikonic are good brands for crimping. However, Ikonic has a little edge over vega. The crimping effect stays for a long time and creates good volume. It made my hair bouncy for a lively and vivacious look. There are two variants available and the mini version works find if you have a short hair. The quality is excellent and I would definitely recommend others to try Ikonic crimper. Vega crimper is affordable as compared to Ikonic. If you are tight on budget, Vega is a good choice as it works fairly well.
