Payment gateways are secure, and product quality has always been impressive.
Many people complain of poor quality products from online stores, but in my opinion, if you buy from reputed and popular brands, there is always a guarantee of good quality products. Also, you can get them returned within 7 days in case of any issue. Try to avoid brands that sell products at extremely cheap prices, as there is no assurance of quality. Also, don’t forget to check the review before buying any electronic item. Ratings and reviews offer a fair picture of the product quality.

In cities, everyone is aware that the same products and similar sellers are operating online via amazon flipkart and other ecommerce portals. only difference is the mode of product delivery. product is delivered to your home rather than you spending time and money to go to a shop and get it.
in smaller towns and villages, the question still remains – is it safe to buy electronics from flipkart or amazon. This is more of a trust issue caused by some bad publicity in media to create sensational news like “soap delivered in place of phone” etc. In my opinion, return and refund policy of flipkart, amazon etc. is still far better than local stores on an average. These portals give benefit of doubt to the customer. There are some misses here and there and only that comes to limelight.
Another fun part is people still thinking COD as a safer alternative that prepaid order. It is not, unless you want to cancel the order alltogether. If you want the product, you will have to pay before you can open the packet in Cash-on-Delivery. So, you still have the same risk that you don’t know what’s inside.
I’ve had a remarkable experience with Amazon, particularly in purchasing various electronic items and gadgets over the past few years. From essential appliances like an fridge to mobile phone, Amazon has been my go-to platform for a wide range of purchases. I like the convenience of Amazon’s swift delivery service. The reviews and ratings on Amazon are also mostly genuine specially in electronics category. I am skeptical about Flipkart’s reviews because almost all good brands have 4+ star ratings on all their products even if Amazon has 3-3.5 on them. So I am not sure about Flipkart.
