In the same boat. Waiting to see if there are good Dussehra offers from RoyalOak, Hometown or Flipkart. It’s not the right time to go out and visit stores.

There were cheaper options in Flipkart but we felt those did not appear pretty. There were good sofas on urbanladder and were ridiculously expensive.

Whatever you do, don’t buy from Saraf Furnitures. They will show something on photos, deliver something else. And there are many similar sellers from Jaipur on Amazon. Be careful with them.
Not correct. A lot of high quality and great design furnuture come from Jaipur. Your experience mught be bad. But not true for everyone. I know companies like urban ladder source their furniture from a lot of businesses in Jaipur.
What will you do if you notice small cracks or defects after delivery?
What kind of sofas are you looking for? There are good ones from KurlOn on Flipkart. Cheaper ones also available from Bharat Lifestyle brand. On Amazon, you can find similar sofas from Furny brand.
For sofas covered with leatherette or fabric, it’s difficult to know the material used inside. So, I would say, try to get a sofa build locally. At least you will be able to see the material used inside.
Depends on what store you’re buying from. A well-known brand will deliver good service whether you buy direct or via Amazon or Flipkart. However, some private brands such as Solimo from Amazon and Flipkart Perfect Homes are not available outside. You must buy it from Amazon/Flipkart.
I have bought a lot of products from PepperFry and experience was always great. Bought something from Urban Ladder via Amazon. Tried to contact Urban Ladder immediately after that for minor problems. Nobody ever responded. So, personally I would say NO to Urban ladder.
Heard horror stories about Saraf Furnitures (insaraf website). Would stay away until I verify things properly.
Do people really buy sofa online? How do you know if it’s going to be comfortable?
Agree, comfort and overall feel can be very different from what it appears on pc screen. Even the colours always look different on pc than in actual.
We started getting furniture on rent and we loved it. Cost effective compared to buying new one and selling at half price after a year. Sorry, not an answer to your question, but have you considered companies like Furlenco?
I have checked online shops. Found better quality and price in local shop. Do not buy sofa sets from online.
Do you feel it is a good idea to buy a sofa online? I can’t trust online sites with my furniture. I used to explore several online sites and Amazon too. But never had the confidence. I feel local shops are best to buy a sofa.
