Not looking for the cotton filled ones? They are the best.
Otherwise, the material you will find is coir or foam. Are you living in a mild temperature area? Else, foam mattress will be too hot in summers. Coir or a combination of coir and foam are very common.
Usable over years? I doubt.
Our cotton bed has lasted in a flat shape for more than 20 years! It has to be fine fresh white cotton and not the blackish waste they fill in these days. Get it made locally, ask for dense packing and be ready to pay for that much clean cotton. I have not seen similar product online.
I’ve had some personal experience with mattresses, and I must say, natural latex is hands down the most durable material out there. With proper care, these beauties can stick around for up to a whopping 20 years! But that’s not all – natural latex mattresses and pillows offer a bunch of other perks too. First off, they’re all-natural, so you won’t find any nasty chemicals lurking inside. Plus, they’ve got those nifty pincore holes and an open-cell structure that keeps things cool, so you won’t wake up sweating in the middle of the night. and I found them to offer excellent back support – no sinking into the mattress despite being heavy myself. Look for eco-INSTITUT, Oeko-Tex, GOLS, and the like for best quality.
