I love shopping online and have been doing it for 6-7 years now. It’s fun to be able to explore a plethora of options from the convenience of your home instead of visiting stores/ malls and waiting in the queue. I buy a lot of stuff online, including clothes, footwear, bags, and accessories. When it comes to online fashion portals, Myntra is hands-down my favourite brand. Though Amazon also offers clothes, footwear, and bags from top brands on their portal, it can’t beat Myntra. For me, Amazon is a great choice for electronics, home- essentials, kitchen ware, decorative items, and other essentials.

Amazon has recently recruited some famous actors and actresses to promote their fashion aspect. I think it will definitely catchup soon as they know how to market stuff. They are the biggest online shopping store for a reason. Myntra is great because they offer quality products. Amazon will have to ensure quality because a lot of sellers sell cheap looking and quality products on their website. So it will be interesting to see how they cope with this. For now, I also prefer Myntra. But if I have to buy branded clothing, then I am not hesitant to go on Amazon.
I agree with your analysis of Amazon. They are certainly trying to keep pace with the tough competition from Myntra and Ajio. However, I feel there’s still a long way to go. Also, they need to work on their user interface. Myntra looks more premium as compared to Amazon and is way smooth and easy to browse through.
Yes, Amazon has some authentic sellers that offer quality products. I have myself bought Chikankari kurtas from Amazon. But mostly, it’s electronics, kitchenware, and appliances from Amazon for me. Myntra rightly deserves to be the most loved fashion online portal at the moment.
Agreed, about Myntra’s UI, but I still feel you are underestimating Amazon in terms of fashion. Even if I buy some cheap clothes on Amazon, there are high chances it will be good. But I haven’t seen that happening from Myntra. Currently, Myntra is definitely the ruler, but now, they are trying to move into many things like home decor, cosmetics. I don’t know if the quality and management will still remain the same.
I hope they always maintain the quality and services. For now, they are the best online fashion portal. Will try exploring Amazon as well, but I wish they worked a bit on their UI to make it appealing to the buyers.
