Are you using a baby play mat on the floor? How thick are they and is it thick and soft enough if the baby falls and hits head or face? I saw some online, felt those are too thin.

The 10mm foam mats are good. Will not hurt the head. They are the right hardness to prepare your baby for hard floor.

Buy cotton mattress rolls or even nilkamal fildable mattresses that you can use otherwise. The baby mats sold online are pathetic. Too thin to support a fall.
Had got a nomal Rs. 500 baby mat from Flipkart. Got tears and holes during initial use. Still using it for more than 6 months.
Most of the mats online are same thing, same picture, just different names. About half cm thick. That was enough for baby.
