I Tried a Lot of Indian Cosmetic Brands, I Think These Are Best. Your thoughts?

Made in India, a concept we all love but I don’t think every field has good Indian products. However, in recent times a lot of Indian beauty brands have come up. I have tried and tested many of them. To be honest, they need to work a lot on their products because not all of them are good, but I cannot ignore the fact that there are genuinely some good ones, which need to be appreciated. If you also like Indian products or want to use them, then I would suggest you to buy the following ones. I am making it clear that these are based on my usage experience. May be it can vary for you. However, if you think I should try other brands or have used the products that I mentioned here but don’t find them satisfying, then please comment.

Before moving on, I just want to mention that these products are currently available on almost all online stores including Nykaa, Amazon, Myntra and Nykaa. So, it will be easier for you to buy.

Kama Ayurveda Kumkumadi Thailam: Kama Ayurveda products are really good, they never fail to disappoint. Their Kumkumadi Thailam is amazing. This oil is packaged in a small, dark glass bottle with a narrow opening. It significantly enhances your complexion, visibly improving your skin’s appearance. It provides exceptional nourishment for dry skin, surpassing the effectiveness of other beauty products. If you have oily skin, I recommend using it for spot treatment, as it’s too rich for overall application. I typically apply it before bedtime, and in the morning, my skin feels incredibly soft, well-nourished, and healthy, almost as if I’ve had a recent facial. It’s made entirely from natural Ayurvedic ingredients, offering a holistic approach to skincare. It serves as an exceptional anti-aging solution, helping to combat the signs of aging. It has a slightly sticky texture, but since you only need a small amount, it absorbs quickly within minutes. While I can’t speak to its effectiveness in lightening scars, I haven’t personally experienced any pigmentation or scar issues, which I’m grateful for.

Biotique Bio Papaya Revitalizing Tan Removal Scrub: Biotique is another famous brand, which many of you might have heard about. This scrub by Biotique is really awesome. I have used numerous packs of it. I have combination skin, and during the summer, my skin tends to get quite oily, leading to the accumulation of blackheads. However, thanks to this product, I’ve found it much easier to get rid of those blackheads. This past summer, I spent a lot of time swimming, exposing my skin to chlorine and the harsh sun rays, which resulted in a noticeable tan, making me appear two shades darker. To combat this, I started using this scrub regularly for about a month, incorporating it into my post-swimming showers. I was pleasantly surprised to see the dullness on my face fade away almost instantly. With each use, I could feel my skin recovering its lost smoothness and natural glow. In my opinion, this product truly lives up to its promises of revitalizing and removing tan. It’s refreshing to find a product that delivers on its claims, especially when so many these days fall short of expectations.

Pilgrim White Lotus Natural Face Mist & Toner: I don’t know if you have heard about this brand. But they have some really good products and I really like their Face toner. I mean, it is simply awesome. I can genuinely attest to the exceptional quality and remarkable effectiveness of their products. This product is crafted with the utmost care and attention to detail, and has become an indispensable part of my daily skincare routine. Through consistent use, I’ve discovered the White Lotus Skin Care to fulfill all my skincare needs. First and foremost, this toner provides my skin with a soothing embrace without any irritation or discomfort. But its benefits don’t stop there; it also rebalances the skin’s oiliness, delivering a revitalizing hydration that leaves my complexion feeling fresh. This product’s versatility has truly left me in awe, as it seamlessly adapts to the ever-changing demands of my skin.

Mama Earth Ubtan Face Mask: I think Mama Earth is the brand that almost everyone you might have heard. Again they have many products, but not all of them are good. I have tried several one of them, but I think their Ubtan Face Mask is definitely the best product. I typically use this Ubtan face mask in my evening skincare routine, finding it particularly effective in removing impurities after a long and tiring day. This mask not only purifies but also gives spa-like rejuvenation to my facial skin. Following this, I cleanse my face using Face Wash and gently pat it dry. I apply the Ubtan face pack with my index finger, achieving full and even coverage. The consistency of this Ubtan face pack may appear somewhat thick to some, but it aligns perfectly with my skin’s needs, providing the desired richness. I intend to leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Unlike some natural Ubtan face masks, this one doesn’t dry out completely. After the allotted time, I gently scrub my face to eliminate dead skin, pollutant residue, and any remaining tan before rinsing it off. Mamaearth’s Ubtan Face Mask proves to be a game-changer, leaving my skin remarkably clear and rejuvenated in a way that no other mask has managed to achieve.

Lotus Botanicals Vitamin C Skin Brightening Face Serum: Lotus Botanicals offers exceptional products that are 100% vegan and cruelty-free status, devoid of parabens, silicone, mineral oil, preservatives, and featuring a non-comedogenic formulation. I generally dispense two pumps of the serum onto my palm and delicately apply it onto my skin immediately following my cleansing and toning routine. The serum has an amazing fragrance and it had a soothing effect on my skin. It didn’t leave any trace of heaviness or stickiness and the lightweight texture worked perfectly for my oily skin. The serum works wonderfully for both dry and oily skin types, and will definitely provide a radiant glow. Remarkably, it didn’t feel cumbersome at all, allowing me to follow up with my moisturizer without any fear of ending up with a greasy complexion. I made it a part of my daily skincare regimen, using the Lotus Vitamin C serum both in the morning and at night. Within a few applications, the transformation was amazing.

The Moms Co. Natural Cranberry Coffee Face Scrub: This was a fairly recent experiment that I did. I haven’t used any of their other products so I really can’t comment on that. I usually love coffee based products especially because of their smell. I used the face scrub and found it perfect for my skin. It helps rejuvenate my skin and make it better.

I hope this list helps you because I did my best to compile the best products and I think all of them are among the top products of their companies. Have you tried any of these products? What was your experience and if I missed any of your favourite Indian brands, which product of that brand did you like the most? I would love to know.

  1. Many of us would not have heard about these products. While some of these make sense, most new cosmetic products are just taking advantage of everyone’s hope for looking younger.

More and more of this is happening because companies do realize the revenue potential of selling small items at a much inflated price.

    1. I think this is where we Indians go wrong about stuff. Of course, the companies sell it like they will make you younger or brighter. And we as shoppers, should understand that that is all bullshit. No cream or stuff can magically make things possible for you. But there is no denying that you should try to take good care of your body and that’s the way I look at it. I look for products that are less harmful and work good for me, that is my only criteria.

  2. Well, I guess not all brands can be trusted, Indian or not! There are companies that make tall claims, but the products make no difference to your hair or skin. Also, they propagate certain skin complexion and make youngsters believe in fake and superficial beauty standards. It is high time we, as consumers, become aware of scamsters. The aim should be to choose products from brands that help us take care of the quality of our hair and skin instead of expecting miraculous results. Beauty care and grooming is an essential part of our being, but we should be mindful about the choices we make.

    1. Absolutely some brands overhype their products without delivering the promised results. I’ve learned the importance of being discerning as a consumer and looking for products that genuinely prioritize the quality of hair and skin.
