Has Anyone Bought Smart TVs from Xiaomi or OnePlus?

I’ve been a long-time fan of Samsung and Sony TVs, and I still have them at home. The picture quality, sound, and overall durability have always been reliable with these brands. However, I am now looking to buy two 32-inch smart TVs for my dad’s office, and since they’re not going to be for personal use, I would prefer something more affordable than Samsung or Sony. The reason I want to buy now is because of all the discounts and sales for Diwali on Amazon, Croma and Flipkart.

I’ve been eyeing the smart TVs from Xiaomi and OnePlus since they seem to offer great features at much lower prices. But I’m unsure about their quality, especially since the reviews I’ve seen on Amazon and Flipkart are mixed. Some people praise their features, while others raise concerns about longevity or after-sales service.

My dad’s office mainly needs them for presentations and occasional video streaming, so spending extra on a high-end Samsung or Sony TV doesn’t make sense. But at the same time, I don’t want to compromise too much on picture quality or durability. That’s why I’ve been researching Xiaomi and OnePlus TVs, as they seem to strike a balance between affordability and features.

From what I’ve researched:

– Xiaomi TVs: Value for money. They have a great range of features at a budget-friendly price. Their Android TV interface seems pretty easy to use, which is good for my dad as he is not tech savvy. But I’ve read mixed reviews about their build quality and sound output. Some users on Amazon say that the picture quality is fantastic for the price, but others mention issues with software updates or slow performance over time.

– OnePlus TVs: OnePlus has a slightly more premium fee, and their smart TVs come with Android TV, just like Xiaomi. They also have nice build quality and are known for their design. Their picture quality is said to be solid. But, again, reviews are mixed. Some people love the vivid display, while others complain about connectivity issues or a less responsive remote.

What I’m Looking For

1. Picture quality doesn’t need to be top-tier, but it should be good enough for presentations and occasional media streaming.

2. I’m a little concerned about the long-term performance of both brands. Since I’m used to Samsung and Sony’s durability, I’m hoping these budget brands can offer decent longevity at least 3-4 years.

I’d love to hear from anyone who’s bought smart TVs from Xiaomi or OnePlus. Are they worth the investment? Or should I be considering other budget brands? Any recommendations or insights would be really helpful.
