Confused to buy condoms online

It is a little weird to ask. Anyone with suggestions to buy condoms online? Are we getting genuine products? What about privacy?

What I found out on Amazon is that they do not mention the product name on the packet. But the delivery guy knows it is condoms inside.

Why not local pharmacy shop – you may ask. The reason is there are many varieties advertised online and it is a bit weird to ask and see each product (if at all available) in a store in the middle of other customers. I hope you are getting my concern.

  1. If you are shy buying I wonder how you can use it.
Last thing you want is fake condoms. It is not just about money. Fake condoms are health hazard.
I once bought a mixed pack of wellknown brand condoms from Paytm Mall. Later compared the packaging with the regular product from medicine store. Clearly the online ones were fake with low quality packaging and print. We had used just one and discarded due to irritation.

Buying online from wellknown sites and sellers is recommended. I agree to the point that it is difficult to browse all varieties in a local shop. I was looking for condoms in Jaipur pharmacy stores. Found one after asking in many shops. The one shop too started cribbing when he handed over a random pack and I asked for a specific variety. He was like “you should not be picky in these things. Take anything available.”

  2. Just to mention the facts:
yes, you can and should buy condoms (and other sexual wellness products too) from online sources. Go for the well-known ones like Amazon, and Flipkart.
As you already know, the varieties online is vast compared to what you get in a local shop. For example: You will probably not see the latest arrivals or exotic ones such as this one https://www.amazon.in/gp/aw/d/B00B17ACW2/ in a local shop.
It will save you from feeling awkward. I don’t believe the delivery people have any intention to think what is inside that small pack. Even then, these products are mainstream and are no longer a taboo.

If you are buying from Amazon, check for “Amazon Fulfilled” products. In Flipkart, it is “Flipkart Assured”.

Having said that, it is very unsafe to buy and use sexual wellness products from questionable sources. Do not fall for heavy discounts. These products do have an expiry date, unless you already knew. Old stock gets sold cheap. And tearing of condoms is a serious problem one can fall into.

  3. I think you can choose Amazon or Flipkart. I don’t think the delivery guys know what’s inside until the packaging of the product is obvious. Don’t go for places that are not well-known especially in online space. You can either go to company’s specific websites to shop as well. It just depends on how you want to go about. But don’t worry. The delivery guys don’t know what’s inside.
