Checking mixer grinder prices and popular brands in India

Today I am going to talk about my search for mixer grinders and the popular brands that I have been checking for my kitchen. Actually I have noticed over a long time that the prices change a lot and there are many brands and models that are coming up. So I am asking for your advice as there are a number of brands and I am not able to figure out which one will work best as I have to gift this to my mom.

Some popular brands that I am finding on almost all the social media platforms include the popular Bajaj which offers mixer grinders with many different features and power capacity. The price is around 3500 and can go to 6000 as well.

The other popular brand Sujata starts from 5000. Prestige brand offers many features but is a little expensive.

Other brands include Wonder Chef which is a new brand that offers many other kitchen appliances as well.

I have to gift to my mom within my budget. So looking for an affordable price while also wanting maximum features in it. I am checking online marketplaces outside Flipkart etc. and local shops for the most affordable and reliable mixer grinder. Please suggest as I am a bit nervous and in dilemma.

  1. Hi I can give you a suggestion. You can try Panasonic mixer. I am using one for past many years. Its price is around ₹4500, you can conform it via online or in shops near you. The best and most safety aspect is … the mixer will run only if the jar is closed properly and the other thing is – the jar must be locked to the mixer as set. Even if one of these aspect is not done right the mixer will not run. I really appreciate this aspect in Panasonic mixie. Can gift this for your mom without worrying about safety.

    1. Thats a good choice. I see Panasonic grinders are expensive compared to other brands.
Bajaj, Prestige, Philips, Pigeon all have 750 watt mixer grinders for 3000 or less.
Pamasonic starts at 5000, and that too 500watts.
Quality and safety seems great. This will be my next grinder.

    2. OK, so the jar is the problem with the Panasonic mixer !? But I am looking for a safe mixer with durability and ease of operation. This seems to be a bit uncomfortable.

  2. Sorry I think you got it wrong the point is 1.The jar should be closed properly ( in a hurry we sometimes will not close the jar)
    2. The jar should be locked to the mixer as directed
If either one is not properly done the mixer will not run. Isnt this a great step for your safety?

  3. Hey, Wonderchef is not a new brand. We have been using its products for almost 5-6 years at my home. You can definitely look into it. Their products are really good. We have it’s small handheld mixer at home. There have not been a single issue in last 4 years. We are also using some of its other kitchen utensils and appliance. If you have any doubt, let me know.

  4. If you are looking for a trusted brand, go for a Philips mixer grinder. I have been using it for three years, and there has been no issue to date! It came with 3 jars and costed me around INR 3000- 3500. It came with 3 year warranty as well. Philips is a reliable electronics brand. You can give it a try.
