Shaving has emerged as a popular choice among women to get rid of unwanted hair. Waxing was a common way of hair removal, and it is still relevant but it is a messy and painful method. Also, women need to book appointments at salons which is time-consuming. Shaving is a great alternative to waxing as it is quick, pain-free and can be done at home.
If you want top razor brands, you can try these for a good shaving experience. I am sharing my review based on my experience and search.
Venus
Venus is one of my top favourites in a budget range. I have been using this razor for 2 years, and my experience has been great each time. I usually use the Venus razor once every week. It is sharp enough to do its job well. The razor works well for a couple of uses and you can still use it but the blades get blunt over time. It is an affordable razor that costs INR 70; hence, you can discard it after a few uses. The only downside of the razor is that it can cut you if you are too harsh or careless while gliding it through the skin.
Venus Razor with Aloe Vera
It is one of the best razors from Venus that ensures a smooth glide and precise shave. The glide stripes come with aloe vera gel which makes it smooth and hassle-free and also prevents any type of cuts. The aloe vera also offers a cooling sensation and moisturizes the skin so there is no redness post shaving. I have used the razor and it actually stands true to the claims. The only difference between the venus regular razor and aloe vera razor is that the latter offers a smooth glide due to gel and prevents the dryness that’s common after shaving. Though, I don’t use this razor often and also buy the regular Venus one as it is affordable. The aloe vera razor costs around INR 350.
Femisafe
Though I haven’t used it myself, I have heard the reviews from friends around me that it’s a good razor for painless shaving experience. It has a wide head that covers more area; hence, you can shave quickly with each stroke. It is infused with aloe vera strips which hydrates the skin without irritation or redness. My friend shared that there are no bumps or burning sensations after shaving. It is an eco-friendly razor that can be used several times. It is suitable for shaving your legs, arms, and even bikini line.
Gillette Venus Snap Razor
This razor from Venus is a blessing for women who travel quite often. It comes in a small case which can be easily carried in a purse. It comes with a gel soap bar which eliminates the need for using a shaving cream. It offers a smooth glide while shaving, so there are no cuts, bumps or redness. The skin remains hydrated without any irritation.
Verdict
All the above-mentioned razors are good choices, and it depends on your personal needs and preferences. I have been using the regular Venus razor frequently and the Venus aloe vera razor occasionally and they remain my favourites. However, I would like to try the compact Venus razor as I am assured of the quality as it’s from the same brand- Venus.

Venus normal razor works just fine. The aloe vera variant seems too expensive.
I have used the Venus razor with aloe vera. However, I felt it to be a little overpriced. But the Snap Razer does wonders for the skin and can be used anywhere in the body.
