I have been thinking about upgrading our old water purifier to a smart one, but I am not sure if it’s worth the investment. Two brands that keep popping up during my research are Livpure and Kent. Both offer a range of smart water purifiers with advanced features, but I’m torn between which brand to go for. Has anyone here used smart purifiers from either of these brands? I would love to get some insights before making a decision.
Why I’m Considering a Smart Water Purifier:
Our current water purifier is basic but has been reliable. However, given the rising pollution levels and the increasing awareness of water contaminants, I am thinking of upgrading to something more advanced that can ensure even better water quality. The idea of a smart purifier appeals to me because of the added features like filter life tracking, real-time water quality monitoring, and automatic maintenance alerts. But I wonder, is it really worth the extra cost?
Livpure Smart Water Purifiers
Livpure offers a variety of smart purifiers, and some of the features that caught my attention include:
- RO+UV+UF filtration technology for multi-stage purification.
- Real-time water quality monitoring with a display that shows the TDS levels.
- Smart app integration for tracking water usage, filter life, and scheduling service appointments.
- Water-saving technology, which is a great feature since I am trying to be more environmentally conscious.
Livpure’s pricing seems to be relatively reasonable compared to other brands, but I am not sure about their service and overall reliability. Has anyone used a Livpure smart water purifier? Are the smart features useful, or do they feel gimmicky after a while? I am also wondering about the filter replacement costs and how easily available their service is.
Kent Smart Water Purifiers
Kent is another big name in the market, and their smart water purifiers come with:
- Multiple purification stages (RO+UV+UF like Livpure).
- In-tank UV disinfection to ensure the stored water stays pure.
- Smart features like real-time water quality monitoring and filter change alerts.
- Zero water wastage through their water recovery technology.
Kent is known for its after-sales service and has a solid presence across India, which is important because I want a purifier that can be serviced easily. However, Kent is slightly on the expensive side compared to Livpure. Are the extra features and service worth the higher price tag?
What I’m Looking For:
I don’t want to be constantly worrying about changing filters or scheduling maintenance. Do these smart features really help with that, or is it just another marketing gimmick? I want something that’s going to last for years, and not have parts or filters that constantly need replacement. Are the smart features really useful in daily life, or is a basic water purifier with good filtration just as good?
I would appreciate any advice or experiences you have had with these smart water purifiers before I make a decision!
They both have given me a horrible experience. Their filters need replacement every 30 days, and they expensive as hell. I think it is better to avoid this two brands. Go for different, even Havells have better purifier than these.
I recently went at a Havells store in my hometown to purchase LED bulbs, and I saw the purifiers there, I might have to go back and check. Amazon was also selling the Aquas variant, so I think it would be a good starting point. Thanks for sharing that you didn’t have good experience with Livpure and Kent because I was strongly considering them. I don’t want to get in the cycle of replacing filters again and again, one of the reasons why I am staying away from Aquaguard filter.
