Duplicate or counterfeit cosmetics product can cause serius health hazard. This is along with the fact that you won’t get what you were expecting. I started this thread after I posted about fake cosmetics peoducts on the other thread.
Here are my recommendations for buying original cosmetics online:
- Purplle – always sells original products
- Nykaa – always sells original products
- Flipkart – There are many shady sellers. Easy way to identify them is very low prices and possibly some reviews saying items were fake. You might see good reviews as well because original products from other sellers would also be listed there. Tip: Buy from a seller with Flipkart Assured logo. And check if the price matches the actual product price.
- Amazon – Fake products might be there sold by some sellers. Apply the same logic as above. Look for Amazon Fulfilled option.

Genuine sellers on Amazon is my way of buying cosmetics. Prime members get next day delivery. Cost is always less than what I get at salon or at Health&Glow store.
Going back to local shops now. Online discounts means duplicate products!!!
Nykaa app is best for all kinds of cosmetics. They offer lots of free goodies on puchase of cosmetics.
Doesn’t Flipkart guarantee they sell genuine products? I have seen that somewhere.

I trust Nykaa and Myntra in that order to buy cosmetics online. Nykaa has so many home-grown brands as well to buy a wide array of cosmetic products apart from renowned brands as well. During sales, you can buy the same product at significant discounts from Nykaa. I also trust Myntra for cosmetics. I have bought face creams, body lotions, lipsticks, face masks, and deodorants from Myntra, and there is no compromise with the quality.
Even I found a beauty segment on the Big Basket app. I ordered Ponds and Garnier Sheet Masks from there!
