So I have been looking at several ads of Meesho from pandemic and decided to give it a try. While we all once knew Amazon and Flipkart as the giants, today there are countless websites, but how do we trust something? In this post, I’m sharing my personal review of Meesho. There are a lot of claims that they offer reasonably priced items. Ever since I started shopping here, I have bought several items, and based on my experiences, here’s my take.
Meesho is very similar to Amazon, Myntra, and Flipkart. We can purchase products in a lot of categories, such as clothes, home decor items, books, kitchenware, and more.
My Thoughts on the Website:
I made my first purchase on this website back on 21/02/2021. Inspired by haul videos from various YouTubers, I began buying clothes from Meesho. Aside from clothing, I’ve explored many other product categories here. When it comes to clothing, it can be a bit of a gamble. Sometimes you’ll receive products of excellent quality, and other times they might disappoint. If you check my order history, you’ll find that I’ve returned clothes most of the time due to issues with quality or sizing. Meesho doesn’t always offer standardized sizes. For instance, if you typically wear an XL size shirt and order one, you might receive one that fits perfectly or one that’s either too tight or too loose. However, I must mention that I’ve ordered many polo t-shirts, and not a single one has disappointed me especially when it comes to price. Most t-shirts I bought were maximum of Rs. 350 or less. I love buying t-shirts from this website because they are very cheap and of decent quality. The great thing is that you find replicas of branded clothing here. I’ve compared prices of branded clothes on different websites, and Meesho consistently offers the lowest prices. So, you can trust the authenticity of branded clothes here.
Kitchen and Home Products:
Now, let me talk about my experience with kitchen and home decor products from this website. I’ve found good quality products at very reasonable prices here especially for baking and I’m quite satisfied. I’ve also ordered items like seed cake trays, measuring cups, and saree covers for mom, which have also been good experiences.
Beware while buying cosmetics:
Now, for the most disappointing part of this website. A few months back, I ordered Sunsilk and Pantene shampoos. These shampoos weren’t immediately needed, so I stored them away. Their outer packaging looked similar, and I never suspected that they’d send fake products. When I eventually used them, I discovered that the Sunsilk (black variant) had low-quality, runny shampoo inside the bottle. Then I checked the Pantene shampoo, and to my surprise, it was also fake. Unfortunately, these products were non-refundable, and I realized this too late for a return. So, my money went down the drain. I’d strongly advise against buying cosmetics from this website because it’s difficult to differentiate between fake and genuine products just by viewing the packaging online.
Final thoughts:
In my experience till now, Meesho is a website where you won’t consistently find great products. You might come across fantastic deals at reasonable prices, but there’s also the risk of receiving fake products despite paying a decent amount. I’ve even seen videos claiming that some users received the wrong or missing products. Whether it is clothing or cosmetics, be aware. I can say that there kitchen products are really good. Nice quality with nice price and I have not faced any issue there. So, if you decide to shop here, keep the above things in mind. And check the product before return date validity.

yes, you will have mixed kind of experience with meesho. Although they are trying to deliver better customer experience, but glitches are still there.
Yes, I agree, but most times I had to return clothing products because in the picture it showed good quality and when it got home, it looked really bad. But there have been times when 200 rupees polo t shirt were better than the ones I purchased for 500-600 rupees from Myntra or Amazon. Its dubious, I really hope they improve quality by imposing some sorts of checks with sellers. Good thing is that they have returns on almost all products. I appreciate that.
There are mixed reviews when it comes to Meesho products. I personally had a good experience with Meesho. I bought several dresses and jewellery pieces from there. However, it is always good to buy cosmetics from the original website of a renowned brand. It is essential that you check the reviews and ratings before you purchase a product from Meesho.
Yes, I also have had good experience with a lot of products but it there have been times, I have been disappointed. I bought cosmetics because of offer from Meesho, but now I won’t make that mistake again.
There are always mixed reviews for Meesho which makes me sceptical to try anything from the app. I have heard of so many Meesho app scams from friends and family that I would rather not buy online than risk my money here. A cousin of mine ordered a kurti that was of substandard quality and look-wise. She could never place the return request as there was no response in spite of several attempts.
Heard of another case where a piece of fabric was delivered instead of a suit set. Errors can happen with any app, but not accepting return or exchange requests is unacceptable. According to me, people are basically drawn towards the app due to significantly cheap prices, but when you pay so little, the quality and service are going to be questionable.
The only reason I order from Meesho is because I was able to return products without issue. I think you can definitely try ordering from it. I don’t know why your cousin’s request was not accepted. I might have return 10-15 times from Meesho, never faced a issue any single time and the best part is that the money is refunded the same day in bank account.
It’s good to know that at least someone has had a good experience with Meesho. May be they are working on improving their services.
Yes, they have definitely improved. I am sure this is because of seller verification and good process of return and refund.
