Every other kid is wearing clogs these days so we wanted to try that for our 3yr old. All online shopping sites are full with so many different brands it is difficult to choose one over another. I browsed many on Amazon, Flipkart, Ajio, FirstCry etc. Then ordered a few and returned almost all of them. Thought of helping moms trying to figure out if a pair of clogs will be right for their baby.
Crocs: Obviously the first thing when it comes to clogs. But will you spend 1k-2k for a pair of shoes that may be used for a few months before your kid outgrows them? And if you want to try out clogs for the first time, Crocs may seem expensive. That’s why I chose not to buy Crocs. However, I am sure the maretial quality of clogs from Crocs is the best. Keep in mind, clogs easily break near the joint of the back strap.
Next comes brands like Hopscotch, Disney, Skechers etc. which are relatively affordable. But I did not find a lot of fun designs in them. It somehow seemed bland and not that attractive for small kids, toddlers.
Worth mention, some affordable products from Pantaloons Junior. They have wide variety of designs. But I did not find the right size when I tried to buy on Amazon. I really liked the designs. And quality appears to be pretty good keeping in mind the Pantaloons brand. This is probably the best choice if you are looking for a good brand clogs at afforable price to try out for your baby.
Finally, the most sold clogs I found are from inexpensive brands like Aqualite, Toothless, Hygear are almost similar in design. Material quality appeared similar in the few we ordered, and returned mainly because we had to choose one. Material appeared good in all of them.
You may also want to try FirstCry and Ajio etc. They have good choices. However, I felt FirstCry was pushing their own brands a lot and I wanted to by something else. And these stores charge a lot in shipping, which is the main reason I stay away from them.
Hope I helped some of you. Thoughts?
I will say stay away from the extreamely cheap copies. The holes and cuts are badly formed and looks cheap from close. Toothless brand products are good and comparable to Crocs as far as looks go.
Firstcry and Myntra really irritate with price. They show a low price and then add GST etc. on top of it. Compared to that Flipkart and Amazon prices appear transparent. What you see on the product page is what you pay.
Agree completely. The price shown in firstcry is attractive. But they add a lot for shipping along with gst.
There are many nice brands selling beautiful designs of Clog shoes at fraction of the cost for Crocs. I think it is good idea to order and try out if your kid likes them. Sometimes kids find it very bulky compared to normal sandals or flip flops.
Clogs never looked good on my baby’s feet. Too bulky. Bad fit. No chance of adjustment. There are better beaitiful options.
Correct. Hyped up due to Crocs.
I can see where you’re coming from regarding the affordability of Crocs. I think Crocs are known for their quality, but it definitely makes sense to explore more budget-friendly options. Children often prefer colorful and playful designs on their shoes. It’s interesting that you mentioned Pantaloons Junior offering a wide variety of designs. It’s a reminder that sizing can be a critical factor in choosing the perfect clogs. On a personal note, I once bought a pair of clogs for my nephew, but they didn’t work out either. The fit wasn’t quite right, and the kid found them uncomfortable. It just goes to show that finding the perfect clogs can be a bit of trial and error.
