Are Dot and Key Products Effective? My Experience and Review

Dot and Key Product Reviews Based on My Experience

I have tried several skincare products in the recent years, especially after turning 30. Skincare can go a long way in achieving healthy and youthful skin. I was hearing about Dot and Key products for a while and my friend also recommended me to try them. I finally gave in and it was for good! I am sharing my experience and review about the few products I tried from the brand.

Dot and Key Sunscreen

There are several variants available in their sunscreen segment but I grabbed my hands on the Vitamin C + E SPF 50 variant. I have previously used the Lakme and Lotus sunscreens and was happy with my experience. However, the Dot and Key sunscreen was a game changer. It has a runny consistency and leaves no white cast, unlike the Lakme and Lotus ones. Just the right quantity is required and it spreads well on the face and neck. It offers great protection from tanning. The formulation is great and leaves a glow on your face. It can be perfectly layered under your makeup. Though it is not very economic, but it isn’t expensive as well. And it is worth the penny you spend. I recently stocked two of them from their buy 1 get 1 sale.

They have sunscreen sticks as well, but I haven’t tried them yet.

Dot and Key Vitamin C Serum

I tried their Vitamin C + E Bright Face Serum with 5% Niacinamide for a few days and the results were amazing. The serum has a light consistency which is perfect for summers. Vitamin C and E content in the serum offers the perfect glow to the skin, leaves it supple and hydrated, and also brightens the complexion when you use it for a few days. The Niacinamide content helps in reducing the appearance of the pores. It is always good to find serums with various contents so that you don’t have to buy different types of serums. You can also explore their other variants of serums based on your needs.

Dot and Key Face Cream

This Ceramide andHyaluronic acid barrier repair face cream is a magic. Especially for people with dry skin, the cream can deeply moisturize the skin leaving it plumper and supple. Ceramide creams have become quite popular since the time Alia Bhatt shared her skincare routine. This Dot and Key Ceramide cream with Hyaluronic acid is a magic potion for the skin. Earlier, I had invested in Hyaluronic acid separately but the cream will suffice the need! It is not sticky and absorbs in the skin well. It repairs the dry and damaged skin and repairs the skin barriers. It is free from dye and fragrance which makes it appealing to me.

Dot and Key Toner

This CICA and Niacinamide Toner with Green Tea and Tea Tree Oil is extremely soothing for the skin. It helps in controlling oil and skin irritation. The toner has natural formulation and is free from alcohol. It is good for acne-prone skin. The toner not only improves pores but also helps in reducing acne. As it mildly exfoliates the skin, the appearance of pores and the texture of skin improve. Unlike some toners, there is no irritation or redness after application of the toner. It has a mild pleasant smell and leaves your skin feeling fresh. I have earlier used Plum toners and loved them every bit. But Dot and Key toner is the second best alternative for me now.

Dot and Key Lip Balm

I tried my hands on the SPF 30 Vitamin C + E Water Melon tinted lip balm. It perfectly spreads on the lips and nourishes the lips well, leaving them soft and supple for long hours. The light tint offers a great appearance and on days when you don’t wish to apply lipstick, the lip balm will be enough! I used to buy Lakme and Nivea lip balms earlier, but Dot and Key lip balm is my new favorite. It is an affordable lip balm available in several variants in tinted and non-tinted versions.

The Dot and Key products can be bought from their website as well as Nykaa. Right now their website has some amazing offers and discounts. Do share your experience with Dot and Key products and which one worked well for you.

  1. I wanted to read about sunscreen because my younger sister was asking me to buy one from Dot & Key, and I wasn’t sure. She was recommended a sunscreen by doctor of SPF 50++ but it is not readily available. I bought Neutrogena SPF 50+ one for her, but one of my friends suggested, it may not be healthy for a 14 year old girl. Are Dot & Key products good for younger girls too? If not, can you suggest a good SPF 50+ sunscreen for kids?

  2. Been hearing a lot about Dot and Key products lately, especially their Vitamin C + E SPF 50 sunscreen. I tried sunscreens from Lakme and Lotus before but they often left a white cast and felt heavy. The Dot and Key one sounds different with its runny consistency and no white cast It’s hard to find an alcohol-free toner that helps with pores and acne without causing irritation Using Plum toners but I’m considering giving this one a try. Thanks for sharing your experience it’s helpful to hear firsthand before trying new products.

  3. I can say Dot and Key products are slightly on the costlier side. But if you can spend a little, I can strongly recommend this company. In fact I have compared this with my regular Minimalist moisturiser on two different hands for about a week. I can clearly see brighter skin tone on the hand using Dot and Key moisturiser. This one in particular.

You can experiment just like I did and see the difference for yourself. Make sure you apply the products on areas with identical skin tone and shades.

  4. I think it’s better to use Dot and Key sunscreen than Minimalist. I tried both brands and both seemed very similar in how it feels on the skin. Dot and Key is relatively less expensive so I will stick to Dot and Key.

Yes. it is effective as far as their sunscreen is concerned. I am going to try other products soon. It is a good time to buy some more as they have the initial offers going on. Mainly because there is a good competition from MINIMALIST.

  5. I can second for Dot and Key SPF 50 Sunscreen – https://www.amazon.in/Vitamin-Sunscreen-Water-Light-Protection-Absorption/dp/B0BLK4YRSN/
I have been using this vitamin C, Vitamin E Sunscreen and I am not going back to other brands. The pricing is good and the cream feels just right on skin.

This one has almost zero fragrance and you won’t feel like wearing any cream. Protection-wise, this SPF 50 sunscreen fared better for me compared to Nivea SPF 50.

  6. I don’t know if their products are any special; but I can see the retail stores are flooded with Dot & Key products these days. Looks like they are giving better commissions to the retailers.
